Project title: Typical Model of Community Participatory Development
Project duration: April 1, 2006-November 30, 2006
Project description: The goal of the project was to foster the active participation of the Yeghegnadzor community in the decision-making processes of the local government and the improvement of the monitoring and evaluation of local government activities. A package regarding the public monitoring and evaluation of the Yeghegnadzor local governing bodies’ activities was developed and approved.

Socio-Psychological and Statistical Research Center

Project duration: November 1, 2006–June 30, 2006
Project description: The project goal was to make public buildings accessible to the disabled citizens of Yeghegnadzor (the Municipality, Cultural Center, Youth Center, Secondary School N. 3, School of Painting) according to the law of the Republic of Armenia. The designs of public buildings involved in the project were adapted according to the law on “Social Protection of the Disabled” and the designs were implemented.

“Martiros” Charitable Foundation

Project description: The project goal was to provide sexual and reproductive health education for the youth and teenagers of Vayk and five nearby communities. Middle school teachers and anatomy teachers from target community schools were trained to conduct workshops about sexual and reproductive health maintenance.

Project description: Project goal is to reach the adoption of the decision on a local level in 7 communities of Vayots Dzor region, according to which there should be strong support directed to disabled in social, health, educational and legal spheres and to provide financial support to them from the community budget, according to the rules of RA law on LSGBs, article #43. In order to provide the disabled with the equal possibilities with the community members there should be more favorable conditions and privileges to implement their rights and capacities.

Project description: Project Goal is to increase children attendance in Vayk Children Creative Center (CCC). For achieving this goal it is planned to identify the needs of CCC services of Vayk and nearby communities’ members. Develop a package of Vayk CCC monthly payments and types of clubs. To lobby Vayk avagani to approve the package of Vayk CCC monthly payments and types of clubs and revise the decision approved in January, 2006. And implement the revised decision.

“Young generation” NGO

Project duration: July 1, 2008 – January 31, 2009
Project description: The project aimed at ensuring Vayots Dzor regional State Health Agency (SHA) to adopt a decision on a local level, which will be a “Package of Controlling the Actions”. According to this package the SHA will control the activity of “Yeghegnadzor City Policlinics” CJSC, which, being lead by the demands of Order N1565-A of 29.12.2006, chapter 3, addendum N1 “To approve the criteria on Primary health aid within the frames of state order” by RA Ministry of Health, will examine the children’s sight free, on a monthly bases. The project will promote public health protection especially that of children’s of pre-school and primary school ages. During the project it is anticipated not only to examine the children’s sight, train the parents, but also with the help of the efforts of parents and community active members to change the city health policy in order to ensure protection of their own children’s health.

Project description: The project aims the implementation of the requirements of appropriate drugstore activity in Vayk and Yeghegnadzor.Reaching this goal the organization will ensure appropriate and secure drug usage and health protection. During the project it is planned to develop a suggestions pack for secure drug usage problem solution, increase the awareness level of Vayk, Yeghegnadzor and surrounding villages on appropriate drugstore activity on the base of suggestion pack, regularly monitoring of drugstores in Vayk and Yeghegnadzor cities will be implemented by the Department of Social issues and health.
