Aharon Adibekyan, “Sociometer” sociological center director, foresees low participation during Yerevan Municipal elections and explains that the citizens will be busy out of town, in their gardens. He also stated that according to a survey conducted by their organization, public is not aware of the mayor’s and city council’s responsibilities and rights.
Sociologist thinks that the mayor would be Levon Zurabyan, the third in the Armenian National Congress (HAK), if the coalition wins the elections and that the first president is only a trap for voters. However, according to her, opposition is not able to gain more votes than it got in 2008 presidential elections. He also mentioned that they would be able to talk in figures after April-May surveys.

The newspaper reports that despite Republican Party representatives negation about the circulation of the “100 percent list”, however “Aravot” editor’s office has got such list from citizens. The newspaper states that they have not any filled copies but they ask courageous citizens to provide them with such forms and they promise to keep confidentiality.

Heghine Bisharyan runs for mayoral position only; otherwise she will continue her mission in NA and she has no desire to become a member of city council.
According to her, “Orinats Yerkir” party goes to elections with proficient ranks and the number of their supports has not reduced. She thinks that in coalition with government, they have performed well and fulfilled most of their pre-electoral promises.
She also stated that the emphasis would be made on cleanness of the capital and the environmental issues.
