Presidential Election Program Grants in Vayots Dzor

Project title: “Building Strong Country through Democratic Elections”
Project duration: November 1, 2007-April 15, 2008
Project description: During the project, a Local Observers Camp will be established and short and long term professional local observers will be trained to observe the pre and post-election processes in the Vayots dzor and Syunik marzes. Seminars and trainings will be also organized for different groups of society, focusing especially on the youth and women.

Project title: Youth for Democracy
Project duration: November 1, 2007-April 15, 2008
Project description: The goal of the project is to increase the awareness of electoral processes and boost the meaningful participation of youth and students from the Syunik and Vayots Dzor Marzes in the 2008 Presidential elections. In the framework of the program, the organization plans to correct voters’ list, organize trainings/seminars, and promote dialogue between youth, students, and candidates.
