Project title: Women Support Democratic Electoral Processes
Project duration: November 1, 2007-April 15, 2008
Project description: The goal of the project is to promote free and fair elections through raising women’s awareness by forming active women’s groups, conducting seminars on electoral processes and the importance of meaningful participation, and the strengthening of the role and participation of women in the 2008 Presidential election process in the Syunik and Vaytz Dzor marzes. It also aims to encourage dialogue between women, candidates, and political parties for more responsive policy platforms and accountability.

Project title: “Building Strong Country through Democratic Elections”
Project duration: November 1, 2007-April 15, 2008
Project description: During the project, a Local Observers Camp will be established and short and long term professional local observers will be trained to observe the pre and post-election processes in the Vayots dzor and Syunik marzes. Seminars and trainings will be also organized for different groups of society, focusing especially on the youth and women.

Project title: Raising Awareness of Voters

Project description: The project aims to raise voters’ awareness, encourage active participation of women and first time voters in elections, and support the provision of a transparent and democratic election process by TV Company activity. To achieve these objectives, the organization plans to prepare and broadcast TV programs, interviews, talk-shows, and PSAs to increase public awareness on electoral processes.

Project title: Democratic Elections in a Democratic State

Project description: The progam will be implemented in the Syunik marz and will target issues of concern to those with disabilities. The goal of the project is to increase awareness and the level of participation of the disabled, as well as accessability of the polling.
In the framework of the project, meetings as well as round tables and forums will be organized with disabeled citizens and community leaders,.
